Marine Photography
We don't only take photographs of the railways. We also take photos of the boats of the RNLI and also the ships of the Royal Navy!
This section of our website shows a selection of our photographs showing a RNLI vessels or Royal Navy ships.
Take a look at some of our photograph collections
On the 26th September 2021, Hastings RNLI were training using their RNLI Shannon Class 13 - 28 for a few hours. We watched and photographed the lifeboat off Hastings before returning to Hastings beach, being recovered and returning to the boathouse.
We visited Portsmouth on the 22nd October 2021 and took a tour around the harbour to have a look at the Royal Navy ships inside HMNB Portsmouth. There were a wide range of ships about ranging from River Class HMS Severn to QE Class HMS Prince of Wales. There were also two overseas Navy ships alongside, one from the Spanish Navy, and another from the Royal Canadian Navy. We've put some of our favourite photographs from our visit into the gallery to the left.
On the 6th March 2022, Newhaven RNLI's Severn Class 17 - 21 was launched into service to assist a small motorboat which had a problem off Newhaven. This resulted in the Severn Class towing the boat into Newhaven Harbour. We photographed the Severn Class returning to Newhaven Harbour with the casualty boat.
